One of the most iconic summertime activities in Glenwood Springs is the Strawberry Days Festival. This year marks the 118th annual celebration of this local tradition. 2015 Strawberry Days takes place in the middle of Glenwood Springs at Sayre (Strawberry) Park on June 19th, 20th and 21st. This year’s theme is “Glenwood Rocks” – festival goers will celebrate everything from our famous local rock formations to local rock and roll icons. In fact, this year’s Battle of the Bands contest will highlight the top five winners during the festival.
The festival features an arts and crafts fair and food court, interactive family fest area, a much anticipated parade down main street, an old-fashioned carnival and a fantastic entertainment line up. Free strawberries and ice cream are served on Saturday, just like always.
Adventure seekers can also try out the Strawberry Shortcut – a one mile fun run, plus 5K and 10K races. The Shortcut takes place on Sunday, June 21st.
