Legally Blonde debuts at Glenwood Springs High School tonight!

There is always something fun for everyone in Glenwood Springs. That’s why is a perfect spot for a long weekend or mini mountain vacation. Of course, we have the Glenwood Hot Springs Pool and Sunlight Mountain – but – there are always plenty of other things to do as well.

High School Musicals

That’s right! both Rifle and Glenwood Spring High School are presenting musicals that open tonight.  Who can resist great musicals with lots of energy and positive messaging. Support the local kids and do something different this weekend:

What: “Legally Blonde”
When: 7 p.m. Feb. 20-21 and 27, and 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Feb. 28
Where: Jeannie Miller Theater at Glenwood Springs High School
How Much: $12 for adults, $8 for students and $8 for all at the matinee, tickets online.

Who: Rifle High School
What: “Shrek the Musical”
When: 7 p.m. Feb. 20-21 and 27, and 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Feb. 28
Where: Rifle High School auditorium
How Much: $10 for adults, $7 for students, seniors and Garfield-Re 2 employees. Children under the age of 4 are free. Family tickets are $30 for four and an additional $3 for each member.

Hamlet

A production of Hamlet is also opening tonight at the Thunder River Theatre Company in Carbondale. This version of Hamlet has been edited to 2 hours and 15 minutes. If you love Shakespeare, go support this highly talented troupe of actors and take a look at this production!

Wine Tastings

Cooper Wine and Spirits showcases different varieties of hand-selected wines, craft beers and Colorado spirits for free every Friday and Saturday nights from 5-7pm. They are located downtown in Glenwood at 732 Cooper Ave. Visit their Facebook page for more information.

Jazz

The Hotel Colorado features valley musicians for Monday night jazz jam sessions, including Justin Pfeifer on piano, Ashton Taufer on bass, and Zach Ritchie on drums. Middle through high school, as well as local musicians of all levels have an opportunity to hone their skills and enjoy camaraderie and networking with fellow jazz musicians.
